STEPHEN MINISTRY

St. Paul's Stephen Ministry program is a trained lay ministry providing Christian care to individuals within the church and community who are experiencing a crisis in their life.  This may be a death of a loved one, divorce, loss of a job, hospitalization, family problems, cancer diagnosis or other situations which can affect a person's equilibrium in daily life.

After completing 50 hours of training, Stephen Ministers are assigned to an individual to provide Christian care until their life has stabilized.  Stephen Ministers meet with their care receiver approximately one hour per week and participate in Supervision/Continuing Education twice a month with fellow Stephen Ministers and leaders.

St. Paul's Stephen Ministers provide Christian care for their care receivers, and God provides the cure.
